Xcode stays true to its legacy. Just like every previous version, Xcode 16 is buggy, crash-prone, and full of features that exist in the UI but don't actually work. For example, “Show Callers” or “Jump to Definition” still doesn't work. Just like it didn't ten years ago. What's worse is that Xcode used to be at least somewhat helpful in suggesting method names in context. Now, instead, it uses an AI model that offers completely irrelevant suggestions. Debugging? That's a separate disaster. At any given moment, Xcode will randomly declare that an object is “unavailable,” and the only reliable way to debug anything is by spamming print() statements in the console like it's 1995. And let's not even start on the fact that I can't even share my app with my family unless I pay Apple $100 and pass their lovely review process. Apparently, buying an iPhone and writing an app for it isn't enough — you also need to kneel before Tim Cook himself and politely ask His Majesty for permission to run your own app on your own device. I sincerely hope the EU steps in and forces a change and that Apple gets slapped with billion-dollar lawsuits. It's exactly what they deserve for treating developers and users with such disdain.

- With the latest release I can’t open class in main target from test target. - When compile issue in unit test target appear, I go to the file, where the issue is, and those errors immediately disappears. I see this issue for a while, and it is still not fixed. - SwiftUI released 6 years ago, but we still can see the view hierarchy without hosting controllers. - AI autocomplete is terrible and useless. - A lot more, but I am too lazy to describe everything. Maybe try to create IDE for Apple devices from scratch, because it seems like updates doesn’t help.

It's just garbage, not a tool for professionals. Just because you have created a monopoly doesn't mean you can spit on developers and the tools they use. Please take a look at the evaluation of your tool and draw conclusions.

Xcode has a lot of great new features, but sometimes strange things pop up. The most annoying thing for me is that custom fonts in xib stopped working. It's a really easy to fix and it even worked before. Fix, please..

From time to time, I can see Xcode freezing when I am editing code. it freeze for 2-3 seconds, and after that, Xcode is back to work. Issue: I can see this freezing after adding or removing any new symbol—it is impossible to work.

After the update xcode stopped connecting via wifi to my phone

There are 2 problems with this version. Firstly, when I create a new C++ metal-cpp project which features a window and launch it, a terminal window pops up and automatically spawns another app window or even two. Projects downloaded from Apple’s websites do not have this issue. Secondly, when I moved a C++ class from one .cpp file to another, Xcode shows that I removed code from the previous place, but when I open the file in TextEdit, the code is still there, so I end up with 5 duplicate functions and Xcode shows 7 duplicate symbols for some reason instead of 5… So Xcode doesn’t save files properly (even after closing the project). Also it doesn’t show where the symbols are duplicated. I mean in this instance I know where, but still it’s quite annoying.
